How many miles? The turbo cars can throw intermittent misfires, particularly on cylinder 4, if the valves get tight. Eventually it’ll burn a valve. Almost no one actually goes through with the adjustment at 100k because it’s a huge pain in the ass.

175k. I had the cylinder 4 misfire at 138k, which turned out to be a bad injector. Upgraded injectors, turbo, and tune then.

Hmm. Modified cars tend to tighten the valves faster, and cylinder 4 seems to run hottest. Depending on where diagnosis leads, it might be worth at least checking the valve clearance.
